Insect Management
This section describes how to control insect from your plants without the use of pesticides.
Aphid
Insecticide control of aphids is difficult, as they breed rapidly, so even small areas missed may enable the population to recover promptly.
I would suggest using the iced coffee method. Buy iced coffee without sugar or milk and spray it to the aphid directly with a mist. Iced coffee does no damage to plants and does not kill insects, but it does keep aphids away.
Ant
Ants may gather to feed on aphids' excrement.
In that case, if the aphids are gone, the ants will also be gone.
However, if aphids are not the culprit, you may be better off without ants, as they may nibble on the fruit.
If you have a lot of ants, baking soda is a safe way to kill them.
If you mix a 1:1 mixture of baking soda and powdered sugar in a small dish and place it on top of the soil, the ants will eat the baking soda and die.
